Do you ever felt like you are completely stuck? Like life is excruciatingly the same, day after day after day, and you’re just running around the asphalt track in the same Cobalt Blue Nike Frees with your gym shorts riding back up every time you stop to pull them down?
And then change comes along unscheduled, and it catches you off guard in the back of the head, leaving a lump the size of a cantaloupe. It throws you off your monotonous game, and you struggle to find your footing back to the same lane you were in just before the shockingly unexpected collision?

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if your were to live forever – Gandhi
So, what on the grassy plains can you do to reinvigorate your life and become so agile that you just bob and weave and catch flying lobes of destructive altercations, spinning them around in a graceful pop and lock?
And better yet, break out in a sprint so daring that you jump the track and head out into the great wide world of adventurous newness?
Today on the brighter side, we’re going to be talking about how to break the cycle of sameness and create an attitude that will serve you in any situation of change you encounter that will churn the mucky waters of the stagnate pond your living in and create a life of newfound vigor and expansion!
Learn all that you can for as long as you can. Approach everything you face with a desire for expanding your experience, growing your perspective and fanning the flame of curiosity within you. You are never too old to learn and grow and, as George Elliot once said, to be what you might have been.
Life smells so sweet when you transform your heart into a giant sponge, soaking up all there is to do and know and be.

Now, it’s time to take action in the comments below and share what you are facing right now that is pushing you out of your comfort zone or that you want to learn and have been putting off or avoiding. OR what you want to learn that you’ve felt too small or too old to do.
Then let’s give each other sweet hi-fives in the replies.
Share in as much detail as you can, because someone here is probably going through something very similar and it helps to know that you’re not alone! Today, with your kind words and supportive thoughts, can help change someone else’s life.

This was so good. I’m definitely hesitant at learning or trying new things. 2 1/2 years ago we went through a big change that shook us up because it took us out of a job and ministry that we had been a part of for over 20 years and it was painful because it wasn’t what we wanted. Sadly we now often feel like we are just going through the motions of working but not loving what we are doing (mostly hubby). We are thankful for the job that opened up to him quickly without any experience, but it’s been tough, taking up way too much of his time, and leaving him without a lot of peace. We’ve talked about what kind of business we could start for ourselves, but it’s scary to take such a huge risk in our late 40’s so we just keep doing what we’re doing, but knowing we want more. For myself, I’d love to learn more creative skills, better my photography taking skills, better writing skills, crafting, lettering for fun, learn more about Virtual Assisting, but I get bogged down with what I have to do everyday and don’t really take the time to learn anything. lol.
I’m so glad I found your blog. Can’t wait to read more.
Hi Kirstin!
Thank you so much! I know it can be overwhelming at times. I love to start very small and find that it helps to focus on one thing. We’ll actually be talking abou this very thing next week on The Brighter Side.
You can do it!
